Seaport of Batumi
Having visited the bright resort and port of Batumi, “Shipping” could not but pay attention to the local seaport, which is not only one of the largest enterprises of the city, but one of the important nodes of the Eurasian transport corridor.
Today the Batumi port is four terminals. Oil (capacity – 15 million tons of oil per year) operates LLC Batumi Oil Terminal. The annual capacity of transshipment of the container terminal (operator – Batumi International Container Terminal LLC) is 100 000 TEU. The dry cargo terminal is capable of handling up to 2.3 million tons per year. A passenger can serve up to 180 thousand people annually.
And all this – in a bright southern color, surrounded by mountains and sun-drenched! ..
